The Bell-tower athe the Cathedral of Segorbe can be visited freely when a bell ring is being performed by the bell ringers. You can check the Calendar for the dates of manual ringings. When a manual ringing, a small metallic door at the right side of the main door of the Cathedral is opened, and anybody can go upstairs for visiting the Bell Tower and watch the ringings.

Some short advices for the visit:

• There are 113 steps in the stairs until the bell room. These steps are higher than common, so going upstairs can be a heavy task. If you are not on form, you should take your time and do it in 1 or 2 stages.
• Stair is quite narrow. It is difficult to pass othe person, so you must try not to cross with other group of people ascending or descending.
• Steps are old, in bad condition and makes an irregular surface to step. It is mandatory to watch your step in order to avoid sprains. At the spiral staircase, stepd are narrower towards the axis, so it is advisable to come up and down at the outer side of the step.
• At dawn and nigthfall, illumination in stairs is not very good. Act with caution.
• You must remain silent at the bell tower. Voices reach very far form the bell tower.
• Follow the instructions of the bell ringers when at the bell tower. It is very dangerous to stay close to the bells when playing. They will indicate you the safer places to watch the event.
• It is extremely dangerous touching a bell when it is upwards. Never, never touch a bell when it is stopped upwards: it is at unstable equilibrium and may fall.
• Bell ringing is a noisy event. If you are with children, they may become frightened and come down before the end, keep it in mind.
• Although bell room is about 25 meter (80 feet) high, you do not feel a very deep sensation of height. Do not forget to pick your camera up for recording the superb panoramic views.
• Except in deep summer, bell tower can be cold, mainly when windy. Do not forget to carry some warm clothes
